FAQ
What is the difference between in-line parking and side parking?
In-line parking is a single-trolley system that allows moving and storing modules along the axis of the wall at one or both ends of the track, as well as rotating them by 90 degrees. Side parking, by contrast, is a system with two trolleys, allowing modules to be parked in a designated place.
At what stage of construction is it best to install the track?
We recommend installing the tracks prior to closing the suspended ceilings. No alterations to the floor are required, as the system operates without a floor guide. The tracks are mounted to the building’s structural elements on the floor above.
Can mobile walls include a door?
Yes, modules can be fitted with door leaves. Both single- and double-leaf door options are available. Doors can be equipped with panic bars, a door closer or an access control system.
How do manual and semi-automatic differ from each other?
The manual system is operated using an attached crank. In the semi-automatic version, the wall is unfolded manually, while the extension and retraction of the upper and lower horizontal pressure seals, as well as the locking mechanism, are powered by an electric drive.
How long does it take to install a mobile wall?
Installation is carried out in two phases. The first phase involves fitting the track and taking the final wall measurements. The second phase consists of installing the mobile wall modules. The standard timeframe for completion is between 4 and 8 weeks.
How is the mobile wall mounted?
The method of track installation is determined individually during the design phase, based on the type of ceiling in the room. No alterations to the floor are required, as the system operates without a floor guide. The tracks are mounted to the building’s structural elements on the floor above. Once the guides have been installed, the modular elements are manufactured and then, during the second phase, installed onto the prepared tracks.
Can you install a mobile wall on a ceiling other than reinforced concrete?
Yes, the design team can select an appropriate installation method based on the type of ceiling. Please note that our standard offering includes installation on reinforced concrete ceilings. For other types of ceilings, be sure to consult the Optimal Design Department.
Are mobile walls safe to use?
Sliding walls have been rigorously tested for mechanical durability, including crowd pressure and impact resistance. They meet the highest standards and are completely safe to use.
