Optimal Poland is adding CPL laminated panels in fire reaction class B, s2-d0 (EN 13501-1), available in sizes up to 5600 mm in height. This opens up new design possibilities for wall finishes in commercial buildings.

The substrate for CLP is MDF or particleboard. Regardless of the variant, the fire reaction class is the same and applies to the entire product, not just its components, as confirmed by relevant tests conducted at the Building Research Institute.

What does the 5600 mm format change?

Previous size limitations required joining sheets on large wall surfaces, which resulted in visible seams, additional mounting points, and the risk of visual inconsistency across the surface. The 5600 mm format eliminates this problem in large-format installations: hotel lobbies, office building lobbies, conference rooms, and university auditoriums with high ceilings.

For an architect, this means greater design freedom—the ability to propose to the client a uniform, “seamless” surface at a height that previously required a technical compromise.

What does the class B, s2-d0 represent?

Class B, s2-d0 indicates low flammability (B), moderate smoke emission (s2), and no burning droplets (d0)—a standard required in all public buildings in Poland. Our CLP panels can be safely specified for use in such facilities, ensuring compliance with standards without compromising aesthetics.
